Drontal Plus is an internal antiparasitic manufactured by the important brand Bayer with three key active ingredients: febantel, pyrantel and praziquantel. It is not allowed to sell this product online as it is a veterinary prescription product.Drontal Plus has three different formats: one for puppies, one for small and medium-sized dogs, andfinally one for large dogs.Bayer's Drontal Plus is an internal dewormer that works against cestodes (flatworms) and nematodes (round, cylindrical worms).

Vermistop an alternative to Drontal:

VermiStop is formulated with dried extracts from 6 plants that help create a hostile environment for parasites and stimulate the functionsIt is a natural solution and not very aggressive for the organism. By containing a mixture of plants, its spectrum of action is extended to several species of parasites, while reducing the likelihood of generating resistance

Indications:

- In animals at low risk, as an alternative to periodic treatment.anthelmintic.

- As a reinforcement to the usual anthelmintic treatment in animals at high risk of becoming infested due to several factors:

- Fragile health status, advanced age

- Environment: living in kennels or with other animals

- Nutrition: animals that hunt, eat offal, raw meat, etc.

- Travel for holidays, exhibitions, transfers, etc.

- Environments with children orother vulnerable people (immunosuppressed, receiving chemotherapy...): it offers an

extra protection to reduce the chances of disease transmission from animals to humans (zoonosis).

Pharmacological properties of drontal® plus flavour

Antihelmintic and giardicide active against certain nematodes, cestodes (tapeworms) and Giardia spp.

The fixed combination of pyrantel and febantel acts synergistically against nematodes (ascarids, hookworms and trichurans) and Giardia spp. in dogs. The spectrum of activity of praziquantel covers cestode species from thePraziquantel acts on all intestinal stages of these parasites. Pyrantel acts as a cholinergic agonist, causing spastic paralysis of the nematodes by depolarization of the neuromuscular plate. The anthelmintic and giardicidal efficacy of febantel is due to its ability to inhibit the polymerization of tubulin to microtubules. Metabolic alterations,The resulting structural and functional damage depletes the parasite's energy reserves and kills it within 2-3 days. Praziquantel is absorbed very quickly through the parasite's surfaces and is distributed evenly throughout its body. It causes severe tegumentary lesions, leading to altered metabolism and thus to the death of the parasite during the administration of Praziquantel.drontal®.

Interactions and incompatibilities of drontal plus® flavor

- Do not administer drontal simultaneously with piperazine.

- Simultaneous use of pyrantel together with cholinergic compounds such as levamisole may result in toxicity.

Indications and target species

Dogs: Anthelmintic against certain nematodes and cestodes of the dog.Nematodes: Ascarids.(Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina). Ancylostomes (Uncinaria stenocephala and Ancylostoma caninum). Trichuridae (Trichuris vulpis). Cestodes (Echinococcus granulosus, Echinococcus multilocularis, Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp., T. multiceps multiceps and Mesocestoides spp.). Composition per tablet of DRONTAL PLUS LARGE DOGS:

DRONTAL PLUS FLAVOR FOR LARGE DOGS Anthelmintic and giardicide in oral tablet.Laboratory BAYER HISPANIA, S.L.

Pharmaceutical form: Oral tablet (Comp.o.)

Composition: per tablet:

Febantel 525 mg; pyrantel (embonate) 175 mg; praziquantel 175 mg.

Pharmacological properties: Anthelmintic and giardicidal active against certain nematodes, cestodes (tapeworms) and Giardia spp.

The fixed combination of pyrantel and febantel actssynergistically against nematodes (ascarids, hookworms and trichurans) and Giardia spp. of the dog. The spectrum of activity of praziquantel encompasses dog cestode species. Praziquantel acts on all intestinal stages of these parasites.

Pyrantel acts as a cholinergic agonist, causing spastic paralysis of the nematodes by depolarisation of the neuromuscular plate.febantel's anthelmintic and giardicidal efficacy is due to its ability to inhibit the polymerization of tubulin to microtubules. The resulting metabolic, structural and functional alterations deplete the parasite's energy reserves and kill it within 2-3 days. Praziquantel is very rapidly absorbed through the parasite's surfaces and is equally distributed throughout its body. It causessevere tegumentary lesions, leading to altered metabolism and thus death.

Interactions and incompatibilities: Do not administer simultaneously with piperazine.

Indications and target species: Dogs: Anthelmintic against certain nematodes and cestodes of the dog.Nematodes: Ascarids ( Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina).Ancylostomes (Uncinariastenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum).

Composition per tablet of DRONTAL PUPPY SUSPENSION:

Pharmacological properties

Fixed association of two anthelminthic agents that act synergistically against nematodes.(ascarids, hookworms and trichurids) of the dog.

Febantel acts by inhibiting the polymerization of tubulin to microtubules, disrupting structures important for normal helminth functions. The parasite dies due to depletion of its energy reserves after 2-3 days.

Pyrantel acts by stimulation of nicotinic cholinergic receptors inducing paralysis.spastic of the nematodes and, consequently, their expulsion from the gastrointestinal system by peristalsis.

Interactions and incompatibilities

Do not administer simultaneously with piperazine.

Indications and target species

Puppies and young dogs: For the treatment of infestations caused by ascarids (T. canis and T. leonina), hookworms (A. caninum, U.stenocephala) and trichurids (T. vulpis).
